CENTRAL PARK

It's a no brainer really, the great lawn is a must.

THE HAMPTONS

If you can venture up to The Hamptons, do it. The beaches are amazing and you will feel like your in an episode of Gossip Girl.

GUGGENHEIM

Located on the Upper East Side this was one of my favourite museums, the space is amazing! The art is more contemporary and minimalist here but even if that isn't your bag it is defiantly worth a look!

THE MET

Another Upper East Side museum, and again defiantly worth a look. I will say though that there is almost too much to see here so if you know a certain exhibition you want to see go directly to that then take a wander, or if you want to see it all set aside a day.

THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

Whilst your here, go to Shake Shack!
Again, another no brainer. Defiantly worth a look around, avoid weekends and peak times if you can!

TIMES SQ

Go once, visit M&M world, then avoid like the plague!

Just as a disclaimer I know a lot of these suggestions seem like tourist haunts, and often they are but they are defiantly worth doing at least once so try not to be put off by them purely due to the amount of people! I am one who personally hates doing typically 'touristy' stuff but go early in the morning and you can virtually have the place to yourself and the rest of the day to explore the city.

OTHER TO DO'S:

Magnolia bakery... Obviously.
5th Ave Even though when it comes to NYC shopping I would suggest Soho, you need to take a wander down 5th Avenue. Shoppers dream.
Top of the Rock-  So this is Mid-town really, but so worth doing. The view is mad and its better than The Empire State...
Harlem-  I loved wandering around Harlem, its a proper NY neighbourhood. With the best fried chicken restaurants as well, check out Auntie Ruths!
